Course Credit

We’ve had many students from colleges and universities gain course credit for pursuing a program abroad with The Humanity Exchange. You can do this too. A program abroad is an exceptional investment in your future, enabling you to gain experience related to your education and career path.

How do you gain course credit?

  • Use your experience with us to fulfill a practicum or field experience requirement.
  • Register in an independent study or reading course. Usually these are senior level courses offered by universities that enable a student to create their own course syllabus. This requires a certain level of initiative by the student to do extra planning and find a professor to support them in this endeavour.

Interested in earning credit? Check your college or university calendar, speak to your academic advisor, or ask a professor what options might be available to you.

THEX Course Credit Fee: 90CAD

We must charge a course credit fee. Universities often require extra paperwork including contracts, mid and post evaluations, recommendation letters, and more. The fee helps us to offset the administrative costs incurred to meet university requirements.

Why earn course credit?

We think the question is “why not?â€

  • Life is short. Earn credit and experience life abroad at the same time. When you return home, you’ll have that much more of your education completed.
  • Universities and colleges often provide funding for their students to pursue a program with The Humanity Exchange when they will be earning course credit.
  • It is an opportunity to very literally make the world your classroom!
